Dr. ShaEssa Wright

Dr. ShaEssa Wright, D.O., M.B.S., FAAPMR, is the Founder, Principal Consultant and driving force behind WrightWay Healthcare Solutions LLC. With dual board certifications in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM), Dr. Wright boasts over a decade of experience dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.

 

Dr. Wright is an esteemed Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician whose understanding spans clinical practice, academia, and medical expertise.

Her expertise includes adult and pediatric neurological conditions including brain injury, stroke, genetic syndromes, neuromuscular diseases, spinal cord injuries, cancer, and musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries which has led to groundbreaking advancements in patient care.

Dr. Wright draws her strength and self empowerment from her own personal journey as a daughter, wife and mother. She was a caregiver for her mother Rosalind W. Wright RN who in 2009 was diagnosed with the terminal illness Lou Gerigh’s Disease also known as ALS while she was in medical school. She is a devoted wife to her husband Archie, an ESRD and Kidney Transplant warrior as well as her two sons Donovan; a former millitary service member, and youngest son Micah who is thriving and surviving while navigating the challenges of food allergies and a mild speech impairment.

As an Assistant Professor, author, community advocate, former podcast host and clinician she has demonstrated her commitment to education and knowledge dissemination. Dr. Wright’s content expertise encompasses areas such as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity management.

Her passion for disability inclusion extends beyond medicine, driving her to provide evidence-based consulting services through WrightWay Healthcare Solutions LLC.
